I ran one last year in a very ripe field of Tall Fescue, did a good job of shattering the crop. The thing is fast though, and hard for me to drive straight, with hitting center pivot ruts every 150 feet, at 9 mph I would just get straightened out and hit the next one. It layed the windrow down to flat for me, and then was hard to get it picked up.
