Eastern SD | That hitch steering was pretty cool, and much more straightfoward than puting a GPS receiver on the planter. The ultrasonic sensors and control box interact with the hitch to make sure the planter stays right behind the tractor. None of that system needs to interact with GPS at all. Then the tractor is GPS guided, and your implement is right behind the tractor at all times. Only problem would seem that it only works on straight A-B lines. I don't think it would work on curves as those ultrasonic sensors wouldn't be over wheel tracks anymore. | |
