Subject: Nav II Getting hot

Clifton Kansas
We have a one year old Nav 2 mounted outside behind and under the cab on an 817 Fendt there is open space all around it . The insight has started to show a fault code 88 (high temp.)after about 3 hour of use. The nav 2 is hot enough you can't keep your hand on it so I believe the fault is correct. My other 2 nav 2 stay cool to the touch. If you clear the fault it comes right back when you try to engage the steering. My sales man called trimble and they told us to block the nav 2 up off of the plate to let air flow under it. So we raised it about 1/2" to no help. I turned the switch off while I am filling with fert. about 10 minutes and it will then run about an hour before acting up again. We used it last fall with no problem.
Because we are about done using it heavy till next year I want to know is this a problem with this nav 2 and need to replace it before warranty runs out or is this location problem?

Thanks
Walter
