Subject: RE: 6000 Hicycle drive belt replacement

Did I screw up by pulling the entire clutch assembly? That SOB is pretty heavy when trying to get it to line back up with the pilot shaft.

Anyway, I just tore into it. Believe it or not JDParts indicated my local dealer has a belt on hand. I had just loaded some AMS to buffer the water and was backing up to the Honcho tank when I heard a loud snap and then no more motion. Oh well, Friday the 13th. It could have been worse....loaded with Honcho and in the middle of a field.

I think they hung the belt on a wire in the factory and built the rest of the machine around it.

That's as far as I could get the clutch assembly before I decided it was good enough to just replace two belts.

View from back, looking up. Not much room.

Had to hook the 4 wheeler to the tank to get it out of the way.

Barely can see the pilot shaft. There's the hyd pump.

I hope JDParts is right and my dealer has a belt. Local auto parts store couldn't match it.
