| Here the story. Just finshed harvesting 2nd wheat with a 9600 pushing a 630f head. Come to find out that the Beater curtain fell out of the machine during beans and my brother negected to tell me until we are half way thru wheat. Had problems all season long walking to much grain out the walkers, was this due to the curtain missing. We were harvesting 60 to 95 bpa wheat at 1.5 to 2.6 mph. Try a little of everything to get the machine to hold the wheat in. Guessing we lost 1-2bpa if not more. Now the kicker JD dealer told me that the curtain would not be available until Aug., does that sound right? I appreciate your advice and patience training us new southern boys to combines. | |
