Subject: GS2 2600 GPS Input Question

NC IA
Have a customer that COULD have the following for 2009 Crop Year:

MX305 Tractor - Insight, AutoPilot, 252 Receiver for AutoSteer, Variety Mapping, Possible TruCount Clutch control.

JD DB80 32 Row CCS Planter with GS2 2600 for Planter Monitor, Variable Rate Population, and Variety Mapping

According to Chad H's post below the JD monitor will be capable of all those functions for next year.

Will the GS2 2600 monitor accept NMEA GPS input from the 252 or NavII controller?

Or are we forced to use a Starfire receiver?

What options will Ag Leader have for next year - could it do all the functions the GS2 could?

Are the marker/fold/etc. functions on the new JD planters built into the GS2 or are they separate?

Thanks.

Ben
