The 2577 / 2588 combines running the Pro 600 use the opposite gender cable for GPS as the older 21/23 series combines. You will also need to switch pins B and D on the cable to make everything function.
Attached is the document from Case on how to build an adapter cable.
Instead of using 2 male ends, we use one male end and build the cable directly to a 9 pin serial connector.
