Subject: Seedstar 1.01M flaws?

NE SD

Dkastens mentioned last week he was seeing flaws with seedstar 1.01M planting the wrong rate. I mentioned that I thought readings were more eratic. Anybody else seen anything wrong with it? After a couple days of planting soybeans, the monitor started showing that the center section of the planter was planting anywhere from 5-12,000 less seeds per acre than the outer two sections. The population appears to be right, and the motors are all commanding and providing the same speed, but the monitor continues to show it's off. Tech says that the wedge boxes must be getting the right readings or else they would command that the center motor speed up to correct the population.

It's just a pita to be getting low warnings and watch that center section drop down while the rest of the planter is relatively flatlined. I wish they would make sure that software is actually improved before they release a supposedly better version. New ATU software is garbage.
