Edmonton, Alberta | Applying NH3 and I can't keep my rate steady in autorate. Speed is fine, manual mode is fine. If I shoot for a target rate of 80 it will bounce between 65 and 130. Using a fast/close valve and it is moving back and forth. Disassembled flowmeter, turbine is freewheeling fine, sensor is parallel. I've smoked three C-FC valves already, but I do have a spare one in stock. Any thoughts on what to try? Controlled by 440.
I've also got a 450 in my Spra-Coupe and the pressure regulator appears to be sticking because I can't adjust in manual and it won't keep a steady rate. Was spraying at 4 gal/ac (rate 1) and switched to 5.5 gal/ac (rate 2) and it started working. I thought great it's something eletrical in my console. I switched rate 2 to 4 gal/ac to get the job done and then it started acting like rate 1 by not keeping my rate constant. Can I check the pressure regulator to see if it is working by switching to manual and listening for the valve to move (while my rig is parked and off)? | |
