Subject: Good tractors

It is basically a 1855 Oliver with a 354 Perkins motor. The perkins will burn oil (they all do), is relatively cheap to work on and uses very little fuel.
The transmission is good but takes a little time to get used to. If you can figure out how to double or no clutch the shifts you will love it. The 3 speed powershift is almost bullet proof.
The tractor is as heavy as the competitions 130 hp tractors were.
The cab is nice and easy to get in and out of, the only thing is that a 75 model will not have factory air.
The lights suck but can easily be replaced with halogens.

As for price what do you call low? My brother bought this 76 2-105 (One owner excellent cond) with 4800 hrs at a retirement auction a couple years back for $7600.
Prior to this one my dad had a 79 2-105 that he sold about 5 years ago, had 9100 hrs on it when he sold it. It still ran fine but was starting to show its age and the abuse.

Hope this helps.
Ross
