OK, I guess we need more info. You said it starts and stops. Is that with your dumping raw fuel into the carb or without? If your fuel pump is actually pumping at low rpms, and you have electronic ignition, so your distributor timing shouldn't be messed up, methinks your carb for some reason isn't letting enough fuel in. Will it run at full throttle? Idle? I had a fleck of junk in my idle once and it would cut out at anything less than full throttle. Had to clean carbeurator to fix that problem. That was before I had two filters in the line, before and after the pump. Does it cut out cold? or just some cylinders? Moisture or carbon tracking in your dist. cap? Cracked rotor? look close.
