Subject: RE: NORAC UC4 automatic boom height

Question 1.
You should be fine with sensor on the breakaway, the JD boom breaks away straight back and not up, if it went up it would cause the Norac to want to move the boom down. With your boom breaking away straight back this will not happen.
Question 2.
The sensor that is mounted on the center section not only controls the height of the center section while the Norac is in automatic it also monitors that the boom is rolling and the Norac will control this as well with this application.
Question 3.
You can get moisture in the sensors they will still operate after they have dried out, there are small holes in the sensor that allow the moisture to drain out when they are positioned face down (in operating possition). I am not sure what the price of the sensors are, I would contact your local dealer or go to Noracs web site www.norac.ca
