Main concern would be to get a rain that vwould take the 2-4-d down onto the seed before the chemical broke down. If you use ester and there is no threat of rain with warm temperatures and lots of sunshine to speed the breakdown along, I have planted 2 days after application with no adverse affects to the germinating beans in this situation. Its more of an art than science when pushing the window with 2-4-D when no-tilling beans if you don't want to wait the recommended 7 days.
