NW Tennessee | We were finally able to start planting corn yesterday. Had to air out some ground, but considering it was the first day, things went pretty well. Started planting on my no-till today and, for the most part, it was planting pretty good. Then about 1:00 p.m., a line of 20% thunderstorms rolled through. Only rained .25" in the corn field, but since the ground was barely dry enough already, it's wet again. Planning to try and start back noon tomorrow. There's an 80% chance of rain again on Thursday, 60% on Friday. Due to the floodwaters, my corn acres will be cut 25-30% and if these rains keep coming, more than that. It's getting late here.
