| GRIP (Group Risk Income Protection) and GRP payments for spring crops were later than normal for a couple of reasons. This year, NASS released spring crop data on March 6th, later than the normal March 1st date. Secondly, there were changes, and late data that prolonged certification by RMA (Risk Management Agency). As a result, payments are later than normal this year.
(3688, several counties in SE South Dakota will receive GRIP payments for 2007 corn, due to lower than average yields, and lower prices)
