| East central Kansas. We're a solid 3 weeks behind where we should be. Our planting window for corn is not that large in this area as it might be in parts of the country with better soils.

still wet, one or two guys put some fertilizer on last week before it rained again.
I'd say within 50 miles there might be a field or two planted, would not be over 1% at the very most, probably less than that.
If we get no more rain it will be the end of the week before we could even think of working dry ground on a large scale. Forecast is for a chance of rain Monday night, Tuesday, Tuesday night and Thursday through Friday. Typical spring forecast, one of these times we'll start missing the showers it will dry up and we won't be able to buy a rain. | |
