Subject: Can a cheap soap be used as surfactant on glyphosate?

I bought some glyphosate without surfactant that was $1 per gallon cheaper than that with surfactant .When I priced surfactant later it was $18dollars per gallon ,recommended use 1 quart per 100 gallons of water.Adding this surfactant at this rate adds $2.40 per gallon to the price of the glyphosate which seems high. With all these generics coming from china surely some kind of cheap soap would do just as good.Is there any brand you can recommend or a cheaper solution?
