Stratford WI
We kept a couple behind 4 strands of hot wire.
1 strand pretty low the other about the top of the T-post and spaced the other 2 accordingly. We used unbarbed wire and that new yellow string stuff along with a good hot fencer.
Main thing was to make sure they had enough stuff in there that they liked.
We also tether them around the place to help trim areas that aren't fenced. That can be tricky and you have to keep an eye on em a lot more than pasture but we've never had problems with it.
I prefer cows myself but the wife likes her goats. We are up to 3 does 1 billy and 2 little kids. And yes they are some cute little things when they're small.
We raise the dairy breeds but I would like to try some of those boers and try the immigrant market around here.
