Organized Producer meeting to discuss current crisis

To all swine producers, I, Mitch Truebenbach, am holding an organized producers meeting to bring public awareness of what is happening to the swine industry today and how we are going to survive. I invite all swine producers to get together with me.
On April 15, 2008 at 12:30 pm at the Mankato Holiday Inn to help inform the puplic of the crisis that is happening right now in the Swine Industry and to have round table discussion on to survive!
Topics to be discussed
? Current swine prices
? If we euthanized bottom 3 pigs from every litter what would happen?
? If we euthanized 5% in the wean to finish barns?
? If we took 5-10 lb off of market weight?
? Corn and Soybean Meal prices
? Country of origin (COOL)
? Ethanol
? Swine disease (prrs)
? If the Swine industry collapses – the number of people who will be affected
? World demand for pork
? Domestic pork consumption
Our main goal on this meeting is to raise public awareness of the swine industry and what is happening and to find a collective way to survive these markets.
This invitation is for all swine producers and people who work in the swine industry in the USA and Canada and we are expecting between 150-200 people.
