Yes you can do it but GS2 only supporst black and white as a background image. The way I ended up doing it was saving the file as a bmp and then importing it to APex and then send it to the GS2. I did it several different ways with hills, depressions, and colored background image on....doesn't work that good doing it that way. The best way i found was to have depressions, hills, and flow paths on and then save it as a bmp. This way the flow paths will help dictate where the depressions are from the hills. So the answer to your question is yes you can do it but its not in color so it can be kind of a challenge to determine hills from depressions when your in the field.
