Thank GOODNESS we had over bought for post-harvest last fall, and over-bought for the spring as well, so we should be covered with the 33% that they will bring us. Sure had us scrambling this morning trying to find out what amount they could bring and when, since we will start to spray later in the week or early next week.
This is out of control with having to buy inputs so far in advance. Chem dealer said this morning that there are shortages of Pursuit for incrop already, so we went ahead and booked that right away too. What's next??!! Are we all of a sudden going to be short on fuel??!! I just pity the guys that are going to have to scramble to find product to cover the 66% that's not coming.
With all the pre-buying going on, it's only going to hurt the guys who are behind already. If they can't get chemical to spray until they have the open credit or they get some $ in, they will be in an even tougher position. | |
