Subject: RE: Insight and Hiniker

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
There are several ways you could use the Insight with the Hiniker equipment.

One way would be using Ag Leader's Direct Command for liquids. This is the most expensive and complex. This would require a Switchbox (usually Ag Leader's 10 boom box) and Auxiliary Input Module, a Liquid Control Module and the associated wiring.

With this equipment, the Hininker console would not be used and the Ag Leader system would handle control/logging/mapping of the product. This is the most desirable as VR, Autoswath etc. are all possible.

Another way of using the Insight would involve leaving the Hiniker console in the system and still using it to control the product. The Ag Leader could be connected to monitor/log the information but not actually control it.

With this route there are actually two choices. Either choice involves using Ag Leader's Application Rate Module (this is different than the modules listed above). The information from the Hiniker system can get into the App Rate Module's communication port via a 9 Pin serial connection to the Hiniker.

If the Hininker console does not allow for this, then a Tee cable to the flowmeter is used. This Tee cable connects to the Aux port on the App Rate Module. When using the App Rate Module there is some associated wiring that powers the Insight and allows for the CAN connection to the Module.
