Subject: RE: Starter or not on corn????

SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
Liquid seems very pricey to me compared to dry or NH3.
I ran starter (dry ) for a few years. Ran different rates in side by sides and saw very little response.
Now if I was no-till I think that you need that starter becasue of cool soil temps.
Corn looked better but never saw the yield response I was hoping for.
Just more stuff to watch and breakdown. Takes away from planting time filling. If you run alot of acres, spread the P and K ,keep your test levels up and enjoy planting and only having to fill seed.
I think if alot of farmers would do side by sides every year testing the yields , alot more would not run starter.
Spilled fert sure raises hell will planter parts and paint.
