125 lb/N  50lb/P  50ob/K  20lb/S  1lb/B  is $152/ac.  Plus,,, $.43 cents/lb seed. Then add on $43/ac for water taxes. (something many don't have as input cost.) and spraying costs. Then harvest costs,,,,,    This last year's $7.00 wheat doesn't look good at all right now.

These inflationary times are *interesting* to say the least..............  I keep reminding myself of a couple of things:  The world has to eat and many countries have banned wheat exports, Egypt is cutting back production, China is "starving" for more wheat, some crop reports are looking ugly, etc..  The other important thing is return on investment. (profit margin)  Long as the Profit margin is there, solely worrying about imputs will only drive a person nutz.
