| Valor has been a great product for us in SC with resistant pigweed issues. In fields that we rotate from cotton to soybeans every couple of years or so, we use reflex at planting in the cotton and valor at planting for the soybeans (can't use valor at planting for cotton. We have used it at burndown but reflex just gives longer pigweed control since you put it out at planting). I think Valor and Reflex have the same MOA so that's why we try not to use both in the same season in a field. Valor does need rain to be activated and it can damage some plants if it is splashed on to them. If you put it out in cotton at 2 oz per acre at burndown, you need 1" of rain and to put it out 21 days before planting. Also you cannot disturb the soil after you put it down or it will be rendered inactive. For example, you can't put valor out at burndown and then strip til the field or only the row middles would be actively using the valor. Overall a very good product and also economical for us that are having resistance issues. | |
