Woodham, Ontario | Last year we had very little alfalfa yield due to drought. Usually we apply manure after every cut if possible, but we cut less and spread less manure. Now we are considering spreading manure on fields that are established with alfalfa. The snow just melted a week ago and the high temperatures have risen to 10-15 Degrees Celcius. I'm expecting te alfalfa will start growing very soon. If we spread dairy manure at the end of the week, will that hurt the alfalfa. I'm worried about the traffic, but maybe the manure can burn little sprouts too? | |
