We always cut with an emasculator. Now, the official 4-H rule book on show lambs states that any lamb with too short a tail will be disqualified. Someone should show that rule to the judges. It just gets my goat~no pun intended~when I see a show and the lambs have been docked so short there is nothing for a tail.
