The ratio of HP to grain moved puts the grain vac at about 10% the efficiency of an auger,but if you value your comfort and health at all,you will use the grain vac. The grain vac sucks all the heated air and most of the dust out of the bin so you do not have to destroy your lungs with farmers lung or other grain dust related ailments. I have a 30+ year old Dunbar Kapple grain vac that I use to suck out whatever grain does not flow to the auger.
