The ones used on the heavy duty emmissions on the big blocks were alot larger than 1/4 inch. They were closer to 1/2 -3/4 inch pipe. T think you could still get plugs but were harder than the smaller A.I.R manifolds.
Sure makes a neat engine compartment when completed though.
