Take two 5lb. hammers, one in each hand. Hold one right next to threads, then take the other and tap rather hard on the bung( hitting on top, sides, etc.) It will break the rust loose so you can use a pipe wench on it. Always take hammers to hit gal. or black pipe on joints before you try and loosen them. They will come right apart, don't baby them when hitting them.
