It involves adding an extra spacer to each planter blade so that the backs of the blades move out further and actually touch the back of the gauge wheels. Kit has internal scrapers and the firming point is a little different. This is a genuine CIH kit, not some aftermarket thing. If CIH had designed the gauge wheels to run against the blades in the first place, this kit wouldn't be needed.
