| well it all depends...... in canada here... i worked at a GM dealership... and depending on the model... bare bones, mid spec, or loaded up.... your lookin any where between... 12-18 % mark up !
now dealers get kick backs and stuff that you the customer doesnt know about so they can basicly sell the unit for cost, and make SOME money... so i would say at 17.25 % off list, your gettin a pretty good deal !!!!! when it comes down to it usually.... to stay competitive.... dealers are only making, on pick ups, i would say 1500-1800 bucks ! which when you think about it.... ISNT really that much when you sell a $40000 unit !!!!! then the sales person makes roughly 20-25% commision.... so you do the math.... thats why im not in the car industry any more. ( you dont sell to many $35000 vehicles so you can bank on your average commisions to be even smaller !!!!! ) | |
