It's personal preference but I did it on a couple of fields to get the acres that much closer and so the Auto Swath knew where not to spray. I wouldn't redo the outside if your happy with them. I had to do it right off back then on version 2? as the Auto Swath didn't then work without one. I just brought the modified boundaries into SMS so I had 'em.
