BoomTrac is like a Norac in that they both use a sonar sensor. That's about it. Norac uses a proportioning valve and Deere uses a bang-bang valve. Deere is on the CAN system. Deere sent out a bulletin about a year and a half ago that warranty was voided if any other system was used on a Deere boom.
