Boone, Iowa | I did a lot of searching when looking for one to put in the new shop. I did not want to spend an arm and a leg, so the screw type was out. I wanted something that would hold up to the uses I was going to put a compressor through. I ended up at the local Ingersoll Rand dealer and they asked me some questions on what I would be using the compressor for. I ended up with a 7.5 hp, 80 gallon, upright compressor. I bought the upgrade version that has the intercooler, low oil shutdown and blow off valve with timer to keep the moisture out of the bottom of the tank. The intercooler will help when using a large volume of air, like our bean blast cabinet. I felt the IR was right in line with the price as similar compressors and there was good warranty with it. | |
