Texas/New Mexico Stateline | I need a new exhaust manifold and turbo for my 12.7 Detroit. Is there anyplace online that has decent prices? The best I could find was about $500 for a turbo and $300 for the manifold. Also any tips on changing it, and not having it leak or crack?
And while we are on the subject of Detroits what should the normal oil pressure be on one of these things? Running down the highway at 1200 rpm it shows about 40psi when it is good and hot. The book says it should be 50-60 at rated rpm, but I don't think this one ever gets above 50 except when it is cold. I just got it and don't know any history on when the bottom end was done.
