just like some of the others said, drive as much stuff as you can, use the simulator in stellar support, search thru dtac (most of those guys are really knowledgeable), ask lots of questions to anyone that will listen. start with something easy first, like installing a gs2 system in a 30 series tractor. it already has the steering valve and all the wiring (except cornerpost harness). good luck shannon
