Subject: RE: Need help finding planter tires

West Union, Illinois

plowboy - Why do they have to be SL? What else is there in that size besides a farm implement tire?
My guess is it says so on the population charts at a specified inflation.  If you can find a tire that is the same when you measure around it, it should work OK.  If it is different you will need to adjust your gearing to make it right.  Just remember to make the change on both planters or you will have one side planting different than the other.

Oh! as I recall each planter drives off two wheels, doesn't it?  Make sure you have the same tires on each end of the driveshaft.
