Pull oil samples from the trans and axles. CIH went to a pressurized lube system using oil from the hyd system for the axles on either the 92xx or 93xx series. If the 92 series doesn't have pressurized lube axles, DO NOT use Hy-Tran in the axles, use only synthetic 75-90 or 85-140, and change it at 500-1000 hr intervals. I would also be very wary of tractors that have Hy-Tran in the axles now, unless the oil sample checks out. The magnetic drain/check plugs will also show problems. These tractors also need hinge pins around 4000-5000 hrs.
