Subject: RE: jd 9500 bin extension

I used to be against the bin extensions and still think they have damaged a lot of combines, but on my 9500 I have an extension that allows me to hold about 275 bu. It isn't nearly as big as some, but it can be a big advantage at times. I normally dump before it is full, but once in a while it can be a big help.

The final drives on a 9500 I believe are the same as a 9600 so I don't think you would hurt your combine structurally with the extension unless it is a huge extension that holds 350 or so bushels, but they sure do wear the auger that fills the bin if you fill it full every time.

I gave $100 used for my extension, but it isn't a Mauer.
