Subject: Upgrading EZ Guide 500 from WAAS to OmniStar

ND
I've been planning on purchasing an EZ Guide 500 and EZ Steer this spring. Today I was talking to the dealership and he told me to upgrade from the WAAS signal to the Omnistar, you need to buy a whole new reciever and antenna. Until now, I was under the impression that all signals used the same reciever and you paid the subscription for better guidance. He said the EZ Guide w/ WAAS signal was $2995 and the EZ Guide Capable of Omnistar and RTK was (I think) $5995. I had planned on starting out with the WAAS signal and probably upgrading to the HP signal next spring. If i have to spend the extra $3K to get HP I guess I will, but it's not looking near as cost effective or enticing. Can anyone confirm this??
