Yes these are cannas bulbs. They have to get dug up every year because they will freeze here. They are sure a big ugly scary looking bulb when you dig them up. They have a very unique musky kind of smell to them too. They are a great big plant that is almost like a corn stalk on the bottom and they will get 5 foot tall or taller on a wet warm year. My sister says she has lots of them in Texas but she doesn't ever have to dig them up. The roots really spread out and grow a lot of bulbs on them. Oh, and the trailer is just the back dump box on my polaris quad.
