Subject: RE: Rob

For 2007, the beginning corn price was $4.06 for all three revenue products. The ending price for CRC/GRIP was $3.58. Ending price for RA (taken in NOV, CRC/GRIP are taken in OCT) was $3.82. If you owned an 85% CRC policy, your ending guaranteee (due to lower price) was 95% of you APH (yield average). An 85% RA policy became a 90% policy.

However, this is probably not the year to buy CRC unless the premium savings are very significant, because the $1.50 corn and $3.00 soybean limits might be easily surpassed (see wheat).

Again, I have very little regard for agents selling wholesale 85% level policies. (unless we are talking GRIP, where 85% and 90% policies are almost a necessity).

Good Luck, Rob
