Central Missouri | The most efficient way to apply N is to apply some in a band with the planter and sidedress the rest. You will have to run checks on your farm as to the best total rate but alot of people put 40# with planter and sidedress 80-120. The total rate all depends upon previous crop, soil type, yield goal, and growing season weather. There are also several people in my area that band all with the planter. It just depends upon your situation. | |
