St. Charles, MO & Piper City, IL | Looking back i wish dad would have built the Mortan. I still have the original estimates from 1982. Building was a 60' by 60' with full 16' sidewalls and 1 30' door erected for $16200. Mortan at the time was a little smaller dimensions was $16825. I know it cost dad more than the difference to have it painted. Biggest selling point to me was that the Lesters had a lot more lumber it seemed and had solid posts rather than laminated. The posts seem to push dad over the top. Funny thing was the guy that sold the building and erected it went to work for Morton not long after that! |
