If you send a handful of RR seed (or any patented seed) to someone else will you not be in violation of your signed agreement with Monsanto or whoever holds the patent? Might have to get a written wavier or they might have to sign an agreement. Might be interesting to write a letter to Monsanto just to hear their response.

After all, if you "gave" someone patented seed and they propagated it and started using it for their own use or even worse selling it would you not be liable?

Oh the tangled web allowing patents on living organisms weaves. This is a bad road the human race is going down.
