Mid Michigan
Depends on weather you are going to do it yourself or hire it done. I would think the cab would have to be tilted back. You will have to remove the fuel tank and all the brackets around it. Probably have to pull out the pto drive shaft that goes through the rear end. Tractor will have to be all blocked up and have the axles pulled out. Defenitely wont be an easy job. I pulled the leaking fuel tank out of my 4-150 and cleaned and painted it and changed the tank. Was a lot of tinkering around just to get that far. Should be some ring and pinions out there. They made a lot of those tractors. May still be some NOS stuff at a dealer somewhere. Don't know if the 4-210 stuff fits. Probably worth checking. Dealer bill will probably be at least 40 hrs of labor at $85 dollars per hour. Ring and pinion will more than likely cost over a grand if you can find a used one. Can't image Agco price on a new one. I would think it would be a $4000-$6000 dollar repair at the dealer. Probably around $1500 and a lot of swearing if you do it yourself. I have to replace a pilot bearing on my 3208 in my white this spring along with a new clutch disk and throwout bearing. No fun. I am not looking forward to it. Good luck.
