We had the same thing with our old 410 Massey. We were going to replace it with one off a 235 but it was slightly different. I don't recall exactly what the difference was but it wouldn't work. We finally wound up using some stuff called Firegum and putting that into the crack. It did work but that was a pretty crude fix.
