Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums. | I'd go with the RA on double crop beans. At least you have some form of protections against the price going down. If you go with APH, you're only protected on bushels and not price. The premium seems high, but look at the revenue you can lock in. It makes it a lot less scary to go out and sell some bushels now while the price is up. I never understood why anyone would do GRIP. I guess if you have good heavy land or irrigated land, and everyone else in your county has sand or are just bad farmers, then that would be one case where it would work. I just don't like county averages to determine my fate. We go 70% RA on everything. Crop failures are common in Virginia.
