Tommy,its too bad you dont live close to me.We have a great 2 cycle Detroit mechanic in town thats worked on them for as long as anyone can remember.Hes about 75 but still is at the shop most every day.Hes a whiz on the old Detroits and will sure be missed when hes gone.

He did some work on my Oliver 1950 and got it to where it can now run 3rd gear in the 13,200 class at the tractor pulls.
yep that is a shame ,we have a fellow here that is kind of a shade tree mechanic ,but worked on detroits for years in the military .

id really like to get the old screamer working .

it is really odd it wont rev up ,or die with the cable pull ,have to use the emergency cut off ,

you know what imo would be sharp ?. a 4786 with a detroit 8v92 tta 500 hp . ill do that one day mabe.
